Yes It  must be extended till 31st December 2017 the reason behind demanding the extension that GST has modify the certain Procedure and the Filing Process is one of the Time Taking Episode and The Chhata Festival is one of the Great Festival of Five Days, We the Devotees completely engaged for this Surya Pooja. Simultaneously the Elections in Gujrat is one of the vital factors, so I am requesting to Honorable Finance Minister kindly Extend the Date of Audit till 31st December 2017

Yes the date should be extended. Chartered Accountants are part of implementation of GST which was a hasty unplanned attempt by the government. Lot of time goes for learning and unlearning GST which is like daily news

Yes, the due date for filing audit report, return of income for cases covered u/s44 AB,AD,ADA etc., needs to be extended for the reasons submitted by ICAI to govt. Also it is a fact that the assessee's and or their accountants are held up GST compliance. So there is delay on part of  assessees to complete books of accounts or there is delay in obtaining clarifications as many of them are depndent on "part-time accountants".Further internet speed across the country is not that fast. Every thing hold the time of CAs. After all a democratically elected government is expected to help & support its citizens in compliance and not challenge& punish delays.
