I think you are narrating the story of my life.... similar things happened..... i joined a job... but that was the end of my CA profession (atleast for some years)... The guy who qualified inter in first chance had to work for around 5 years to qualify Final...
Now when i turn back, I feel i lost a lot.... my precious age between 21and 26... My friends who studied with me and opted for Engg are now in a better position... i could actually start my career (as a CA) only at the age of 27.....
Still I am trying to motivate and save my those friends who are still writing the exam.... try ... after all there is no other option in your life... once u enroll for CA...
I have few friends who are writing the exam now also.. at the age of 30.. trying to qualify... you dont believe one of them was a rank holder in degree exam....
Why is this happening? .... after all... Ordinary MBA from a premier institution is getting more pay than a CA rank holder.... After qualifying CA.. what are we doing? Studying all these formulas and theories to do some data entry work? I know majority of CA's sitting and doing data entry work....in many companies.. while MBAs are deciding on the future of that company....
Once you are in... there is no turning back...... because it wont even allow u to die peacefully..... at the deathbed, ur mind will be filled with guilt that... I DIDNT QUALIFY CA!!!
Forgive me... if I am wrong!

Hello every1...
I agree with Vinod dat once u r in, there is no turning back. But at the end of the day it was our decision n i think we shld respect our decision n the Profession which we hv opted.....
One of the writer said these words dat " The Grass Looks Greener On The Other Side"...... yaar u r talking abt guys who r doing MBA.... u know in todays date every second guy is doing MBA.... n there is a new definition for MBA.... 'Mein Bhi Aa Gaya'.....
I know some people had some real bad experiences while doing C.A.....n i think it is bcoz we r not getting right kinda eposure while doing our training....
Now is the time to change the scenario... n it is u guys who shld take the initiative n by ur experience we can learn n try not to repeat mistakes which our seniors did in past........
I'll tell u my side of story...... I never thought of coming into this profession coz i was kinda scared.....it was after my second year result which turned everything..... i scored 45% marks in my B.com D.U.... it was a high time dat i shld decide where my carrier shld go, i donno why but i choose C.A......
I cleared my PE-I n PE-II in one shot.... soon after my PE-II xams were over which wa slast year may, i thought i shld try for job n luckily i got one in Amex..... i was pretty sure abt ma result n i made my mind that i'll leave Amex once my results r out.....
But even aftr getting through i neither lft that co. nor i joined any C.A firm for my articleship...... I joined a C.A frm in Jan but i never filled form no. 103...... Lucky me :)...... n ilft dat firm in early Feb..... n i joined Genpact thinking dat i'll adopt other means........ But aftr 2 months i realised dat other means wont help me in developing me as a Proffesional so i decided to join a C.A firm n feel the heat.......
Two weeks ago i was very depressed thinking dat i hv waisted one precious year.....but when i look back n think d kind of experience i had in past one year, i don't regret my decision.......
Bottom line is dat there r times when we make decisions which r not in our favour..... but dis shldn't stop us frm experimenting...... CoZ ItS ur LiFe..... so take a Chill Pill yaar...... summers r on.......
LeTs RoCk n Tell every1 dat no one has the SpIrit like us...............
CrAzY AccOuNtAnTs.........................

Vartika dear i'm not disrespecting my frnds... .. n i do hv my own problems...... what i wanted to say is dat.....being a senior our frnds can help us...... n u know there r students who can get carried away frm these kinda stories...... n i think we shld encourage or gen nxt.... n i really appreciate Rishu's step........ but still if i ne1 thinks i hv disrespcted our frnds....... MY Apoligies......

WO wO wO...., hold on for a sec, I wonder why this issue rose up. Do one thing go to flashback and recall the time when you decided to take up CA. Didn't you took this decision because somewhere down the line you felt that you needed to prove youself and the world that you were not a looser , and what better place to do it than CA, which is one of the most toughest and rigourous exams one would ever come across. You never thoght about the bugs you would bag when you started.
Now that you have started, why look back, finish it up and do what you are meant to do. You will have all the time to do this when age creeps up and you start moving slow.
I really hate this comparison done between us and the MBAs. You know the knowledge a CA has can never be matched by MBA for sure. No one forced you to join it. Plus you can do MBA after passing CA but can the reverse be done?
And friends mark my words, " in the years to come CAs will have thier fair share of bread and butter".
Life is about struggle, how can one feel the happiness when he never tasted failure or obstacles, right!
