sir i want to know if tcs is collected in current financial(e.g.2017-18) year then in which year i will claim it in the current assesment year's itr(i.e.itr for financial year 2016-17) or in the next assesment year's itr (i.e.itr for financial year 2017-18)

@ Nitish Chauhan: TCS collected in FY 2017-18 is available for adjustment against tax liability of same financial year 2017-18, i.e. Assessment Year 2018-19. ( the TCS collected will reflect in your form 26AS for AY 2018-19)

Hi sir. I am a Governemnt Employee. I just wanted to know that the TCS collected, during purchase of car, can be claimed from the employer or during filing IT return only.

Sir, I sold a personal car during FY 2016-17. The buyer collected tcs. What are the adjustment required while preparing ITR 2

Sir,
I didn't get separate receipt for TCS when i bought the car , the dealer says the tax amount mentioned in invoice of car ex-show room price.
Is this enough to claim the TCS amount OR
still i need to get the receipt from the dealer.
