shud an auditor sign notes to accounts and accounting policy or only directors of the company have to sign??

yes,....of course...b'coz notes to accounts forms the part of the schedules...okay
sign means only initial and not the complete signature.,...got it...

Auditors are signing the Audit Report not the financial statement and Notes of account is part of Financial Statement .. So they cant sign thats a duty of Director of the company

Financial Statements means Trading Account, Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Notes to Account . CA has to sign all these documents and i should say every page of these document will contain his stamp and sign.

As per the companies act notes to accounts form an integral part of the balance sheet and P& L.
Also you must be aware majority of our Accounting Standard Disclosures like for AS 17,18,19 etc are made in the Notes only.
then its abundantly clear that an Auditor should sign in notes to accounts also.

Yes, of course.. The auditor signs the Final Accounts as well as auditors report.
And note to accounts is forming part of final accounts. So the auditor has also to sign the notes to accounts.
