My dear friends,

Organizing strike among CA students is pratically impoosible. Our Institute runs on the policy of divide and rule.Till I know there is no students union at ICAI apart from SICA or so. Where ICAI and its members have an active role. We do not have a organized structure among students to do nation level strike. It will take lot of time and energy to do nation level strike. So better forget it. Befor you can organise the strirke your articles would be completed. Just do articles cheerfuly and study for exams.  Hope you read my thread never do my mistakes. If not please read it. God bless u

icai should review ban on transfer of articles. students who deliberately misusing should be banned frm transfer., those who  r doin for valid reasons can be allowed. there should be a proper mechanism

yes... thats the only way we can make our voice reach to the institute... almost every student is against this decison but is helpless and cant do anything... but if students get united we can force the institute to take some action in this regard... why not start from caclubindia only .... here there are lots of students ... lets proceed ... give lead to few selected leaders .. lets sepread the message to all  ca students ..and then first serve a notice to the institute of our intentions on behalf of all students ... and then if institute dosent give proper reply lets decide the next step... we just need to get united ... thats the only way we can say somthing that institute will hear ... our individual letters/mails sent to institute are of no use..

the restriction on transfer earlier made has been changed or perhaps removed. I dont have the right news but after canceling transfer of my frnd in the previous period when it was restricted the ICAI send her letter for taking transfer if she desire without any reason this year in march.

O YES its a great problem..but strike is not a solution...strike means what all articles will not go to office or what? i think every article should write a letter to institute and request to remove the ban.

Lets write to the institute regarding problems faced by us due to no transfer rule at vicepresident @ icai.org and president @ icai.org

I am putting up a mail drafted by me please suggest necessary changes and copy paste the draft mail if u deem fit and mail to vicepresident @ icai.org and president @ icai.org

The draft is as under:

To,

 ICAI

Delhi.

Reg:   Transfer of Articles

Sub:  Request to liberalise the stringent provisions of

        transfer of articleship.

Respected Sir,

I, a student of PCC, pursuing my articleship in a firm at Western Mumbai Suburbs. We students hope to climb the ladder of success with hardwork and dedication in the humble guidance of our esteemed Institute.

We hope to gain vast experience and exposure in the field by experiencing all types of work we are expected to know, which  sometimes would require switching of firms since every firm specialises in a particular line and may not be able to give all round development to the articles.

But due to disallowing the transfer of articles these golden oppurtunities have to be given up by the students and the students have to comply to the rules of the institute without having any say in the institutes rules for protecting their interests.

We appreciate the efforts of the institute to minimise the cases of dummy articleship. We understand that the rule of disallowing transfer was an attempt in this direction. But a large community of students undergoing practical training(articleship) became undue victims to this rule.

We request you to reconsider this rule taking into account the point of view of students and Institute both and derive an intermediary solution which would not hamper the interest of the students as well as the Institute.

Thanking you for your time and attention,

                                                                                           Yours faithfully,

                                                                                                                                                                                           (Your Name)
