Friends, I did self studies with J.B. Gupta Sir's book for the may 2014 attempt. Even after solving half of the book once more I just don't feel that I have a good understanding of the subject. I also have S.D. Bala Sir's book. Should I go for it?

SFM & Costing are subjects which demand some level of creative thinking from students,please help me out on the choice of book.

Am refering padhuka for both subjects ..its realy gud . But nw at last moment dont change the author. U hav alrdy finished half of sfm from J.B.gupta only..so go for it. While u solving the problems..dig it and start to analyse why it is so etc. It may help u understand logic/reason behind it. For cosking which author??

For costing which author?. Finaly along with authors book refer pm for those problems which are nt in authors book.

For costing I am using P.C. Tulsian. I think atleast for few chapters like bond valuation, MF, derivatives I will have to switch book!

If u want to switch for some chapters, then go for padhuka..its realy gud including old rtp's typical problems which are stil pending for exam...i mean nt yet asked even 1 time. Today itself go & buy . Later i tel hw to go with that book. I got 58 in MAY exam..

But Padhuka's is never helpful for self study yaar

Ofcrse, we cant score more depends on authors selection, it depends on hw much we understand. But, padhuka helps u lot . B4 u buy juz select 1 chapter and check hw it is presented. If u liked then only buy that

Am did self study for all 8. Sfm, audit, law-only for sebi icdr regulations bcoz nt given gud in munish, AMA, isca(got 52 in may exam), DT.

Divide the big stuffs into smaller ones and alott the time this much que per hour..it luks easy and u get interest to study plus keep on revise the previous chapter. This type of recaling the stufs help u lot even day b4 the exam.
