For understanding the basic concepts go through Pattbhiram book and solve problems from L.Muralidhran's book 

SD Bala is Preferable..but if u r preparing for November and hasnt started the preparation yet...i would highly recommend u to use Padhuka...SD Bala is Conceptual as well as Exam Oriented and Padhuka is highly exam oriented. you will get all variety of questions in Padhuka.

As far me is concerned I m using Both.All the conceptual tips from SD Bala and questions solving frm Padhuka.
