Service tax

We are a sub contractor based at Bangalore and we have got a work order from Contractor for providing Installation service to SEZ unit situated in Bangalore.

As per the work order, we shall be billing to contractor (who is not an SEZ unit) for the service done to SEZ unit?

In the above case, whether we need to charge service tax for the service rendered to SEZ unit.

Pls help

I THINK SO YOU SHOULD CHARGE SERVICE TAX ON YOUR BILL, AS THE CONTRACTOR HIMSELF HAS GIVEN YOU THE CONTRACT OF THE SEZ UNIT. THE SEZ UNIT HAS DIRECTLY NOT GIVEN YOU THIS CONTRACT.
