Landlord is liable to pay service tax on renting of property service. Exemption limit Rs.10 laks.

AND WE ARE PAYING RENT A ROUND ABOUT 1 LAC+ (landlord does nt takes service tax )

transporters service tax is little bit complicated, it has too many notifications,
the limit of 10L is for company, irrespective of number of services offered.
count the number of trucks/ vehicles you own and get in touch with PRO of service tax, to get clear guidelines.
small transporters are exempted from servicetax payment and the libility goes to the GTA service receipent but the situation is dependent on various subjects , some are here 1) number of vehicles 2) class / catagory of service receipents 3) annual turnover 4) input credit availed or not on vehicles as capital goods.

We are paying rent 135000/- landlord is not taking service tax. We have any liablity to pay service tax or who is liable for this ?
