What is Photo-reading and how it helps CA students?
The PhotoReading whole mind system is a 5-step approach to reading that includes a technique called PhotoReading. By using your mind and applying the 5 steps of the PhotoReading you can get your reading done in one-third the time. Even as a beginner. PhotoReading only takes a few hours to learn. You'll be able finish your reading in one-third the time with the same or better understanding.
Before looking at what PhotoReading is let's look at speed reading.
To learn speed reading You have to move your eyes faster across the page and hope your conscious mind can keep up. Some courses even recommend memory courses to help you to increase the short-term memory.
Speed reading takes 2 to 4 weeks of practice to even double your reading speed. And then you have to keep practising speed reading regularly or you'll find yourself slowing down. Another problem with speed reading is you need to train your mind to improve short-term memory. Until you successfully learn speed reading You will not have the understanding you had with traditional reading. You must keep pushing your eyes faster across the page and not worry about understanding what you read for a few weeks.
Is that good enough while you are studying? Spending 30 to 60 minutes a day practicing speed reading at the expense of understanding? Many speed reading programs will warn you there will be a decrease in understanding and you must ignore it. We don't have time for practise. We want results And when we read we want to understand what we read. Who wants to add practising 60 minutes a day when they need to be studying?
When I learned speed reading the loss of understanding worried me. My reading speed before learning speed reading was 380 words a minute. After trying to learn speed reading I was down to 240 words a minute. No matter how often I returned to speed reading it stayed there.
Until I found PhotoReading.
So how is PhotoReading different?
PhotoReading is not reading. PhotoReading is mentally photographing the printed page at 25,000 to 60,000 words a minute for the printed page. As fast as we can turn the pages. On the computer screen we PhotoRead even faster than that. Then using the rest of the PhotoReading steps we build the conscious understanding we enjoy with traditional reading. Even beginners can get their reading done in on third the time. With experience the skilled PhotoReader will finish their reading even faster. And it is a whole lot easier than you think.
It only takes a few hours to learn. Alex can teach you PhotoReading in a weekend. Regardless of your current reading speed on Friday. By Monday you will have learned how you can get your reading in one-third the time. With the same or even better understanding of what you read. There is no practise drills. You just apply the PhotoReading techniques to all your reading material. You get enjoy the increase in understanding what you read and getting it done faster straight away.
To succeed with PhotoReading you need only apply the steps. In the beginning, you will be more consistent in applying as many of the techniques you learned during the weekend. In a few weeks you'll find that you're using them without thinking about it.
With PhotoReading once you've learned the steps of the system you can come back to it any time. So if you go on a holiday trekking the Himalayas for two months, when you come back, you will still be able to get your reading done in one-third the time. It's like riding a bike once you know how, you just do it.
A benefit of using the PhotoReading system is that your natural reading speed will increase. And you will keep your ability to understand what you read while it increases.
What the page looks like in photofocus
First it must be understood that for PhotoReading you don't need to see the blip page . Beginners should just work with the imaginary X-Technique. Remember too that people with vision in only one eye will never see the blip page and they too can become proficient at PhotoReading. The imaginary X-technique is for everyone and the easiest way to get comfortable with the whole of the PhotoReading system fastest.
So lets focus on the imaginary X-technique. You can't go wrong.
The page with the X drawn on. You wouldn't really see it. Use your imagination.
Notice the five points of awareness created by the imaginary X The four corners and the middle.
As you turn the pages your awareness is on those 5 points. Noticing the white of the page and the pattern of the white as you turn the pages.
In time you may see the blip page.
This is what a blip looks like.
I've included another image with notes on the pages to help you identify what you are looking at.
Remember as you PhotoRead and once you've finished PhotoReading you'll have little to no conscious knowledge of the information that your other than conscious mind is has processed for you. That's why it's important to know your purpose for reading and then activate the book after PhotoReading. The more you use the activation steps of Superreading and dipping the better your conscious mind is able to draw up the information from the Other Than Conscious mind. Making future activations much faster.

Thank you. The text and the images belong to me and have my copyright on them. They have been used without my permission. (You know it's polite to ask?) The information about PhotoReading been taken from my website www.PhotoReading.com.au Seeing the page is one part of the system. https://www.photoreading.com.au/photofocus_-_seeing_the_page.html Photofocus is probably the easiest part. Building the body mind connection is what most new comers to PhotoReading need to learn.
The book will teach you PhotoReading and is great if you learn well from books alone.

Hello Alex,
Im really sorry.Everyone here knows it is a cut-paste-copy job.
No one here thinks its mine or least of all the concept to be mine.
In any case, I have requested the admin to mention the source and reference to your site and name below which I forgot.Since this was an informal post meant only to help the students and not some thesis or some college project, I thought let me post it here and I guess, I missed referring to your site in a hurry.I accept it is my oversight.I have taken action to rectify the same.I have copied from other sites some posts and have referred the source below(you may check it if you want to) and I guess I forgot to refer it here. Also, being an informal site, lot of people just cut-paste-copy without mentioning the source much.
Your site is wonderful and contains good information.Thankyou for inspiring all students here.

Hi,
My post was intended to be somewhat light hearted (written words don't carry the inflection very well) and to retain my copyright. Which is why I posted. I know it's difficult for admin or you to make those corrections. So I used the idea of speak up.
It's one thing to inspire with good information. It's another to motivate into action. If you only knew how much PhotoReading can change a person's life. :)
If you are learning on your own I recommend following me on the PhotoReading forum.
All the best to you in your chosen careers.
