Nursing homes remain tax exempt under GST.

Medical shops are to be registered under GST, if turnover exceeds 20 lakhs, or to migrate to GST if already tax payer under VAT

A person under composition scheme is not able to collect tax from customers and also he has to pay tax on purchase of goods. and at the same time he is not able to avail input tax credit and has to pay prescribed tax on sale. how can he avoid tax on pirchase

He is not allowed for ITC because he is required to pay just 1% (trader) GST. In lieu of maintaining records...... No other option given, as Government can't donate its share.........

Dear Sir, My wife run a Nursing Home in Delhi but we do not have medical shop inside. We purchase medicines which are used for inbound patients. These are part of bill of patients. But insurance companies are asking us for GST no. Where patients has mediclaim. Pl suggest

As she is providing consultancy services to insurance company, registration under GST becomes mandatory, provided her aggregate turnover exceeds 20 lakhs. Though her clinical practice is exempt under health-care services (including medicines supplied), but the mediclaim consultancy to insurance companies would be chargeable service.
