As per new rule, there is a penalty of Rs.200/- per day, for late filling of TDS return .
I have a query that this time the last filling day of TDS return 15th july is sunday(holiday) ,so whether as like income tax return last due date is next working day or not??
i mean if any person has filled return on 16th thenis penalty levied??
please put proper section note , if you know, as i am unable to find that.

I have also searched it in the book but unable to find the answer in the book. It is not written in the book as far as TDS return is concerned that you can furnish the return on 16th July.
But I think you can furnish the return on 16th July. Because it is assumed by default that when last day is a public holiday than the last day will be termed as the day "subsequent to the last day".
So you can furnish the return on 16th July.
Sorry friend, but now I have read the answer given by Deepak. Therefore you cannot furnish TDS return on 16th July.
