Hi all can settlement commission can waive off the mandatory interest levied under Sec- 234 A, B, C.
Please qoute relevent sections and case laws.

I don't think so. I think only the CBDT has the power to waive off interest under Section 234A, B and C. Just confirm this or wait for others to give their opinion..
But as per the case of A. G. M Ghaswala it can waive off the interest to the extent it can be waived off by IT Authorities
please correct me if i am wrong
