partnership is a separate a taxable entity, and unlike a proprietorship, one has to apply for a separate PAN card for the firm. An application for the Pan card for a partnership can be made online at https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/pan/form49A.html.

I wanted to know if the partnership deed needs notarisation for applying Pan Card and opening a bank account in the name of the partnership firm??
Also, do we need to get a name approval for partnership.

For application of pan notorised partnership deed is required.
You can choose name of partnership as per your choice and approval is not required.

Thanks for the quick response.
Can you tell me if place of business is rented then is the NOC required for Pan Card or that is only required when registering the partnership?
