Not yet any notification released only information about hike in rate came in news paper.

which news paper its published. one person saying it applicable from 14.1.2010 but till now i am not getting any authentication for this.

then how to proceed with this. should we apply new retes from today itself i.e. 14.1.2010 or from which date. pls clarify.

Dear Friend,
This is to inform that Delhi VAT Amendment Act, 2009 has been made effective from 13.01.2010 vide notification no. F3 (23) / FIN (T&E) / 2009-10 / JSS / 15-25.
Consequently VAT rate of 4% has been changed to 5% w.e.f. 13.01.2010.
The controversial amendments under section 9 & 10 have been put on hold.

Please inform that revision of VAT rate from 4% to 5% will effect to CST sales also.

It will simultaneously effect Central Sales without C- Form. Now Sale without C- Form ,CST will be charged @ 5% instead of 4%
