Non filing of itr

Hai,

If an assesse has not filed ITR for the Ay: 2010-11; Ay:2011-12 and Ay: 2012-13, however tds on his salary income was deducted and paid by the employer. Now Income tax department has sent an email to him seeking " SUBMIT COMPLAINCE FOR NON FILING OF ITR FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS " by logging into your Efiling Account. So What he has to do. please suggest as early as possible.

Dear satya if you are having nill tax payable then login to your account click on compliance and go on submit and choose year and the options available. For a.y 11-12 and 12-13 if gross total income is below 5 lakhs then click on other in reason column and put in remarks as per notification no 36/2011 dated 23-6-2011 exempt of furnishing a return of income under section 139(1). Regards

Dear Manoj Mehta,

Here the problem is he has GTI exceeding Rs. 5,00,000. Can he file manually and submit acknowledgement No. in the submit compliance tab. If he did so, is there any problem with IT dept.
