U need not getting any training for MIS. MIS Reporting can be made by non- computing background peoples also. U must acquire hands on experience on computers.It helps u alot while preparing MIS reports. MIS reporting basically depends on the requirements of the management. Its format will also depends upon the nature of information required. So be Confident.......... & go ahead................

I m enclosing herewith format of Bank Reconciliation statement for ur understanding. Though it does not contains any entries but contains presentation of a reconciliation statement. For Effective MIS, presention must be proper.

There is no defined format for any MIS. you can prepare the MIS reports after ascertaining you requirements. types of MIS differs from industry to industry. Basic concepts will be same but presentation will be different. MIS should help the management to arrive at a decision on that basis.

you tell me what kind of information you want to provide through your reports, I will give you some idea about the presentation.

MIS contains the data like revenue, head wise costs, area of the premises, total no of employees (department wise), utilization of manpower, utilization of area of the premises, details of direct and indirect expenses etc.

It is for management utility. You have to format it as per the requirements of the company yar. Just study through the relevant aspects which management requires frequently that has to be intimated to them on a regular basis by way of Management Information system.

So nothing to worry. Keep the basics strong .. nothing will shake you out.
