I am giving two links. First is of old MAFA and second of New SFM

Broadlly there may not be much difference. Practical chapters are almost same but there are additions of topics under each chapter for new course. Moreover its expected that in new course the level of difficulty of questions will also increase. There are some concepts which have been thoretically important for MAFA but in SFM even practical questions have been covered on these topics.
You can analyze the difference by studying syllabus.
Whether to attend classes or not is a subjective decision. It varies from person to person. However i feel self study is the best option (although i have attended classes for MAFA). If you feel that you can do it your own then surely you can. Although you will need to put extra effort and hard work for self study and your basic concepts upto PCC level should be clear and strong. If you want to appear for may 10 in both groups, you must start working right now as you dont have much time left.
