Today I went to notary to get idemnity bond. I am from Madhya Pradesh. He created on non judicial e stamp of amount 1000.

Format you can get from income tax side.

@ Hemendra Vyas; as I had mentioned earlier, different States have different Stamp Duty applicable on Letter of Indemnity. It may be Rs.1000/- in Madhya Pradesh, and Rs.100/- in Karnataka.

I have another query relating to application for representative assessee. The portal requires "Notarised Affidavit of Legal Heir". My query is: 1. Is the Affidavit mandatory when there is only one legal heir, proof of which is uploaded as such?2. If it is mandatory, what is the specimen of such Affidavit, since no specimen is available on the Income Tax portal?

I am looking for the same. Please help if anyone can.

It is mandatory even if there is only one legal heir. Notary people already have format. It is very common.

Find attached format of Indemnity bond provided by the income tax department. The same can be accessed through Income Tax India Efiling website as well while registering as Representative Assesse 

Step 1: Login To Income Tax India filing

Step 2: Select register as Representative Assessee

On the right side select "Things you should know before proceeding" from the instructions

Download attachment from point no 5.

Sir, I was very confused as my mothers request to register as representative assessee on behalf of my deceased father was rejected by the officer stating the format was not right although I used the same format posted here.
