Better opt for the full text, so as to understand the nuances of law, so that you can equip yourself to write answers in the examination based on your indepth study. As these days lot of practical oriented questions are asked in the examination, it is better to lay hands on full text in order to score well in the paper.

ive used the full book only.you need to prepare notes along with your studies if following full book or revision would be tough.if you have the smaller one you can use it to revise. my point is *option 1 if you have time say 20 to 30 days you can prepare from full book by making notes.and the notes would be sufficient to revise before exam.if you buy the other book also notes prepration can be avoided and it can be used to revise. *option 2 is if you have limited time buy both books study from smaller one and refer big one in case of doubts option 1 is preferable as you will get in depth knowledge of the subject and exams would be easy in any case
