ofcourse yes, winnings from any other games is also covered under the said section. however, the candidate should give the right answere of the first question. because first answere gives Rs. 5000 and for the said section, amount of winnings shall exceed Rs. 5000.
Thank u

a.s.w. halim,
i agree that no book says about winnings from KBC, but i think i am correct as the amount of winnings u/s 194B shall exceed Rs. 5000 in order to attract the provisions of TDS.
In kBC, if the second answere is also correct then the amount of winnings comes to Rs. 10000. that means amount of winnings has crossed Rs. 5000 aur uske baad to TDS pakka lagega...

"Muje Sharam aati hai jab koi kaheta hai ki KBC ke me jitne valo k TDS nahi kate jate."
Are kyun nahi katega kya KBC Govt. Show hai?
See the rules of the Section waha pe specifically likha hai ki TV shows me jitne walo ka Compulsary 30% Tax + 3% Cess katana hai.
Aur agar PAN nahi hoga to party claim nahi kar payegi Simple. Isme Itna bada Issue kyun hota hai?
