Today someone told me that using black pen for writing aswers is mandatory in the exams like IPCC /Final. Is this true or just rubbish ?

it is not mandatory, i have write my accounts exam in blue ink got 50 marks.
to avoid unnecessary mental worry, please write in black ink.

Thanks for clarifying the "stupid" query....
I know it sounds stupid, but the thing is I heard it personally from the mouth of a reputed CA Faculty. I now know what his reputation is worth. So I had to ask......
@ Manmohan : Started preparing for May'10 IPCC . So no completion of studies :-)

Since your exams are in May. 2010 You must be worried about your studies rather then
Black / Blue pen . Better use this forum to clear some rational doubts

Hey frnds dont take it lightly.....................in june exam when I was appearing for Pcc I went with only black ink pen............but in exam hall they show me a notification. In that notification institute said to use only Royal blue ink.....................plz confirm whether this will be applicable for NOV exam or not................How ever I manage to write with blue ink......................
black ink is no more required by the institute.Plz confirm urself from institute...................its very serious matter

Just read the instruction sheet which ICAI sends along with the Admit card. That wud suffice.
