I wish to know that fellowship/scholarship/stipend of research scholar is counted in gross total income in EWS category?

under the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category, individuals with gross total income up to Rs. 8 lakhs per annum are eligible for various benefits and concessions under different government schemes.
