Going through the new ICWAI syallabus, one wonders whether there will be any difference between future CA's and Cost Accountants. The totally revamped new syllabus has all the features of a Great Course and offers a viable alternative for CA's who are in short supply in India. One notable feature of this new syllabus is that it has taken into account the recent international developments in the field of Costing and Finance.The Institute has to be congratulated for offering a course which will have global recognition.

There is no question of alternative. ICWA is itself good course and has own identity in International as well as Indian Market as "Management Accountant"

I agree - but in reality, Indian Cost Accountants have not made notable Global Strides - the New Syllabus addresses this concern.

In my opinion the marketing of ICWA is not good in job market still this is not popular like MBA and CA.I passed ICWA in 1997 and that time i struggled lot for finding job while my other freinds got easly because they were CA/MBA.I think ICWA body should think about it.

My articelship have started 10 sep 2007. & my ca final exam(old) will happen Nov 2009. But I want to give ca final exam in new course Nov 2009. Is it possible please guide me
