ICAI CorporatE AwardS 2011 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Just like Economic Times annually awards the Businessman of the Year and has various categories for the same, in the same way the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Indiaalso awards CA’s for their exemplary achievements. The ICAI awards for the year 2010 were recently held in Kolkatta and the glittering event was graced by the presence of some eminent personalities which included the likes ofShri Prabhu Chawla (Editor – India Today), Mr. Jackie Shroff, Ms. Priyadarshini amongst others. The Cultural programme was presented by popular singer Shri. Sonu Nigam.This is the fourth time in a row that the committee has organised such an event and the event was cheered and witnessed by a jam -packed audience. The awards honoured the exemplary work of Chartered Accountants in Industry by recognizing those who have demonstrated excellence in the professional life, personal life and are the role models for others in industry. 20 awards were conferred to Chartered Accountants for excellence in various categories including two Special Achievement awards.The prestigious programme ranging three days from 28th-30th Jan 2011 was widely covered by local as well as national media encompassing both Print Media and Electronic Media. The Award Ceremony will also be covered by UTV Bloomberg.
