Hey Sahil one guy frm. my hostel (2yrs. back) cleared IAS after CA. So, definitely CA's are competent enough to clear IAS .

I have Recently read about many IAS Toppers that Suggests that they were successful even in absence of adequate resources externally b'cos they had abundance of resources internally ( Self belief & Wittyness to reach their goals). Tends to Suggests that its not always about the fact whether a CA or MBA or any one can Crack IAS but what the aspirant can put at stake for his Dreams.

If u are willed enough , No Matter if General Trends are Against You (that less  CA's do IAS) you will Surely get successful Sahil. Just put the Next Step Forward with total Self Belief.

It's Possible

i think , after self desire , willfulness and hardwork.. one needs a very precise guidance as to how to approach the preperation .. otherwise one can easily get lost in ias

(Guest)

y not , I have seen 2 CA's   who had cleared  a IAS .............Its not a hard task  so , CA's can think about this as while preparing for CA exam we develop a good skill , decision making attitudes and higher thinking ........

(Guest)

Every exams can be paased in this world if a student wants to paas it ...................................that means  if a student have positive atttitude , hardworking, concpt clearity attitude , update with latest events ..............than it will be 200% possible .

CA itself is a Master's Degree...& it has been declared by ICAI that a CA without a degree can go for IAS

@ Sahil

see things go like this..in CA Final atleast 5000 students clear it in a year..for IAS-general cast seat is mere 70 only..so if some1 is good enough to crack CA with rank/1st attempt and very good at GK plus can put too much hardwokk IAS is achiveable..if some1 struggles to crack even CA..IAS is much more difficult than CA..so depends on person..

but sir i don't think that only rank holders can crack IAS..they hav nothing to do with IAS....bcoz in IAS they ask questions frm very first level of commerce that is Class +1 to Ph.d Level....one must be conceptually clear abt all the things of commerce field ....

@ r.v rao..

depends what ur son wants to do..many feel boredam from corporate life and want to change the society through IAS..there's no rationale in doing IAS after B.tech,iim..but these degrees can be held as learning ex...IAS is altogether differnent ball game..
