yes, i am agree with Mr. Asit, past 2 attempt IDT paper was easy and manageable also. But this time paper was easy but it was not manageable, most of my coligues including me also unable to complete the paper.

This time i really liked one thing that even though they have give question on case law but they require suggestion on after decision what other way with assessee or department. This shows that now Institute is really going practical way.

that means you had seen and analysed the  past papers ...

The Indirect  tax paper is easy provided one thorughly gone through the RTP.

Even AMA  has 2 to 3 questions from RTP.

ISCA first question is from RTP.

So the importance is for RTP.

Now if the case filed for Nov 11 is taken up and AMA will get exemption after verification as it is mentiioned that

if you have obtained 45 marks, it will be recalculated as 45/62*100=73 , as 38 marks questions were wrong.

THEORITICAL AND PRACTICAL LIFE ITS TOTALLY DIFFERENT ONE WHO GET GOOD MARKS EVEN IN 1ST RANK

IN CA FINAL ITS NOT NECESSARY THAT HE IS DESERVING LIKE EXAMPLES OF REENA GULATI   EXAMINATION

PAPER IS DIFFERENT THING FROM PRACTICAL LIFE   EXAMINATION PAPER AND RESULT SHOULD BE GOOD

Hey Guys, Those who have cleared CA they will always say that our papers are very easy bt they dnt remembr what was the standard few years back n how they used to be a CA by reading Compiler without any concept...i agree IDT paper was easy bt only for those who studied....it was easy bt very lenghthy and if u wanna give quality answer dn cant attempt 100 Marks...

Very Truly said that thouse who have studided well for them its Very Easy Paper.

If the Indirect tax paper is easy, it is ok. But you have to consider as a whole Group II. For eg if a person cannot score good mark in AMA, he has to score in other papers. So if the indirect tax paper is easy it is good to get at least 60 plus and help to cover up the aggregate mark of 50% .

So the Cost being length it is assumed to be of 80% work out possible   and you may get in the range of 45 to 50.

ISCA            being theory                         expect 40 to 45

Direct Tax being the main paper     expect         40 to 48

Indirect tax being easy and less tough   expect   55 to 65.
