How to fill form 108

In the form 108, on the 2nd page, there is an amount specified for the late deposit of the form.

in your case, which comes to Rs. 1000 (delay beyond 181 days), so, pay that amount and fill that  and you will get completion certificate.

 

Thank u arora. On whose name (favour) do i have to take DD and to whom the condonation letter be addressed and also who should write that letter. . . . me or my principal? Does it (letter) has to bear my principals sign ? Plz tell me:-) form 108 doesnt contain all these details

No, the condonation letter doesn't require the principal's sign.. and as the default of submitting the form to the ICAI is on account of you, so, you have to prepare that letter... 

in regards to DD, generally, it is made in favor of "The Secretary, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India" payable at New Delhi (or whatever your city may be)... but better is to confirm it with ICAI dept., just make a call and ask them about this.... and also, if any letter is required to be filed to whom it should be addressed to.. they will help you in this regard...

Wow:-):-) my problem is getting too complicated. One of the student helplenes of icai advised that only DD is enough no need for condonation letter. Later told me to visit institute website for more clarity. . . There in website. . . it is given that in case of delay. . . A written letter stating reason for delay signed by employer shall be attached to the form 108. Now i'm utterly confused. Students who had gone through similar situation plz plz plz advise:-):-)

in that case, it is best practice to write a condonation letter (should be made in favor of "The Secretary, ICAI or on whose favor it was made in DD).. and ask your CA for sign., he will sign on it, he shouldn't have any problem... and submit it along with DD.... because it is always better to go safe-sided...
