Right now I made a new Godowns called "Sample" and and "Damaged" resp. and transfering sample items and damaged items to resp. Godowns. Is there any better way? The problem is because of this in Group Summary, the number of items sold i.e. Inventory outward is shown wrong as it includes those damaged and sample items as outward |
why do you include "item for sample" in normal tradeable stock? Create a different group for sampling items.........or if the quantity of sampling items is less or negligible then it need not to be taken as stock and can be shown as an expense e.g. Sampling EXP.
Including samplin items in normal purchase does not make sense as the same are not for sale and input credit would not be available for these items as these were purchased not for selling later.
Sometime the items purchased for sample may be considered for sale.......if so then you may transfer these items in normal tradeable stock.
You select the appropriate group when you want to know the sale(outward)or consumption( in case of manufacturing)..............Of course you have to filter for damaged stock.
