Please guide me what entry to pass for cleaner boy salary & maid.
As per my knowledge,it comes labour exp under indirect exp.,
Please advice.

Cleaning and maid exp--> u can book it under Conveyance . Because if you book it under labour , then u ll have to include them in pay roll. and if the amount exceeds 750000 Tds will be applicable ...
If you are ready to do it , then your view is right ie., Labour --> indirect exp

if they r in factory, then transfer to trading/manufacturing
if they r in office, then indirect transfer to p&l a/c

You can charge the same to Office Expenses.

if
Companies/Factories - Office and Maintenance A/c
others - Cleaning expenses (if such account exist)
it will be an above the line treatment .. Indirect expense :) in P&L

HI malarvannan the treatment will be different in different cases:-
1) If they are not on Payroll:- Then Simply debit it as Office Managemnet Charges by creditng the cash or bank or the creditor a/c.
2) If they are on payroll:- then debit the salry a/c.

In case of where no labour law i.e PF & ESI is applicabe it shoud be debit to office Miantenace Exps or salary a/c and other case to be debit to labour or salary a/c, bcose it is compulsory that the esi & pf deduction is compulsry on labour work inthe premises of an enterprises.

This Exp is related with office maintainace so it will be include in office exp.N labour exp is also good.

Office expence will be prefered. Labour expensed can be charged only when contract/on roll labours are employed for processing/constructing/maintaining.............. somthing. Mad/Clener boy is absolutily differ from labour as per accounting treatment.
