My performance was worst. b4 exam I was very confident, but I don't know wat went wrong. Inspite of being prepared well I could not do problems related to AS 20 consolidation, & takeover problem. problems were very lenghthy. I won't get more than 30. I m no more interested in attempting other subjects now.

I have heard plenty of stories where, the student thinks he has done badly in a paper and skips the rest. But finally he finds that he had cleared that paper with marks to spare. So never give up hope, and give the rest of the exams your best shot. Best of luck.

Hi All,
I have also seen the question paper, honestly speaking it was not a ormal one. But on the other hand it was clearly reflecting new era requirments of being a CA, questions like IFRS, Fair Valuse vs BV, AS quesions with regarding to ppolicies formation instead of concept wise etc. To me its more of new course's question paper.
Anyway.. its not dead end..work hard for next hurdles and remember nothing is granted and you need to put in efforts to get success.
All the best for the next exams to every one!!!!

Dear friends, Never lose hope....Remember the dedication with which you joined this course, remember the boldness with which you took the decision to write the toughest ever exam, dont forget the hours you spend on study. Always expect a good result. Always be positive. If one exam was tough, look forward to make all the other exams score to compensate for this.
Some quotes to encourage u:
When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place.
Success doesn't come to you... you go to it.
A winner is one who accepts his failures and mistakes, picks up the pieces, and continues striving to reach his goals.
The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, nor a lack of knowledge, but rather its a lack of will
Good Luck on all the coming exams......Go Ahead, and tackle them with courage......

Hi Gayatri, do not lose heart. My suggestion out of experience is do not assess your answers after retrun from exam hall. This would demoralise the candidate, of course, not all, but persons like you. Forget past, get ready for future, here future mans next day examination. My personal expereience. When I cleared my 1st group, I too attempted for only 50 marks in Accountancy (Final) and balance 50 unattempted literally. I never lost heart and did appear for rest of exams. You know what happened, I passed that group in that attempt by getting 45 in a/cs. Another incident, in case of 2nd group, I had attempted totally for 267 marks in all four papers put together and got 200 and cleared. For example, in costing I did attempt for 50 and got 48. Had I left other papers by seeing the performance in first paper, what would have happened. May be still writing final. DO NOT LOOSE HEART. BE BRAVE.
So, we should do our duty and leave rest to the GOD, here the god is INSTITUTE.
