Do u all think that CA course has lost its charm now a days.
what are the changes u all would like to see in our course to make it regain the charm.
One change certainly needs to be the criteria of Final Results. ; ]

Frnz, dont panic, as we all knw, by 2015, as per the treaty with WTO, India has to impliment IND AS , Dirct tax code, GST, Company bill,etc.. During dat regime, the demand for CAs will automatically increase..
Blaming ICAI is meaningless.. They wont do any such thing which will affect d career of CA's...

@ Abhirup:
Ask any fresher from May2011/Nov2011 batch who didn't get a job @ campus.
Even the ones who got jobs at campus aren't happy ; but they r bound to continue because of job market.........pass more cAs w/o ensuring quality.........There might be such situation when CAs will open their small makeshift office infront of ROC offices and shout like a hawker like "mere se Cert of Incorp bannwalo; mein 50 hi letaa hu" or sth like that ... (just like we see vakils under black chhatri o/s municipal courts)

THERE is ALSO ONE SIMPLE LOGIC, IF SUPPLY INCREASES DEMAND DECREASES...
I KNOW MANY OF MY FRIENDS WHO WERE STRUGGLING TO CLEAR FEW YEARS BACK CLEARED WITH LESS EFFORT THIS TIME...
DOES THERE INTELLIGENT GREW UP SUDDENLY, DO THEY BECOME SMART QUICKLY..
WHEN I ASKED THEM , THEY SAID NW THE VALUATION IS VERY LIBERAL now.
what icai shoul do to control the supply
1) increase the aggreggate to pass from 50 to 55 % rather than manipulating the result, which cannot be done nw coz of RTI.
2) increase the standard of questions.

Institute cannot be held responible for the fact that somebody is working in Just 15k per month. I will tell you my experience:
I am currently working in Dubai and was looking for 4 CAs for my depatment. I collected some CVs through Naukri.Com, Monster.com and from a Local HR Consultancy Firm. I got around 200 CVs and shortlisted around 120. I called at least 70 candidates... none of them were ready to come to dubai. We were offering a CTC of around 17 Lakhs to a fresher. And our Group is one of the biggest groups in Dubai.
It was a very bad experience for me.
it is not like that there are no jobs in the market. There are lot of people who want to maintain the status quo.
There is another reason for this. Lot of people want to go in practice. So they prefer to be employed in Firms. And you know how firms pay.
Last but not the least, CA is a prestigious qualification. We are meant to be the best brains in the society. In the initial years doing a Job is fine and I really appreciate this. Earn some money, be settle in life. But after a certain time we should utilise our skills in order to improve our society. Don't be dependent on anybody else. Be an enterpreneur, be the reason for jobs for another few people. We have the skills and confidence to succeed. then why to rely on anybody else.

today more and more IIM grads are leaving their lucrative pay packages to be an enterpreneur. We always compare ourselves with IIM Grads, buy why we dont think like them. The problem is not with increasing numbers of passouts. The problems are within our minds. If we want to be successful in life, we need to overcome this.
I am in a job now, because I dont have enough experience of doing a business. But it will come in few years. and I dont see myself working under anybody for more than 2-3 years from now.
