Sir/Madam,

I want to know that if custom tribunal confirm impose penality upon any person and he passed away afeter order.

 Then :

1. matter will be end. or

2. his legal surviver have to pay full amount or

3. his legal surviver have to pay upto any limitation.

  • customs tribunal fine imposed may be of 
  • 1. tax / fine imposed on personal baagage or effects, overruling the permissible limit. 
  • 2. on goods imported 
  •  
  • if the case is under 1 then customs will ignore the things after getting death certificate. 
  • if the case is under 2 then the person who is in position of imported goods or using it, is liable to pay the same.
