Filing Appeal for rectification not corrected by CPC: u/s 154

Dear All,

For AY 2020-21, there is an error in the processing by CPC and after speaking with there call center, I filed 3-4 times rectification to reprocess and then once as return data correction. Unfortunately, the error continues and I am planning to file an appeal. As I populate the Form 35 application:

which date shall i enter for  "Date of service of Order / Notice of Demand / Date of payment?. The latest notice after rectification or initial. If I put the latest I am filing within 30 days.

What should be the "Income-tax Authority passing the order appealed against*. The site is giving default option as my AO. Is there a different code we should put in if it is CPC Bangalore.

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses how to file an appeal under Section 154 of the Income Tax Act when the Central Processing Centre (CPC) has failed to correct processing errors despite multiple rectification requests. The user is seeking guidance on which date to enter for 'Date of service of Order / Notice of Demand / Date of payment' on Form 35, and how to correctly identify the 'Income-tax Authority passing the order appealed against', specifically when the issue pertains to CPC Bangalore.

You may consider date of order u/s 154

Try once again with online rectification by giving the reasons..Most of the times it will resolve from CPC and no need of appeal...
Consider the earliest date and not the new date
