The deduction is available for Full Time courses only. In my opinion no deduction is available for part time or distance learning courses. So in case of fees paid to ICAI for CA education is not allowed as deduction under sec.80C under Tution Fees..

As per sec. 80C only Tution fees is deductible.
Registration cgh. and examination fees chgd by ICAI is not deductible.
but any sum paid a tution fees to ICAI or any other insti is allowable because CA course is not a part time course

Actually i am of the view that CA course is done like a full time training durning articleship so it should be considered as Full Time Course and should be allowed the deduction but other views are also seems correct that it is done by distant learning..... What learned members have to say about it?

Fee paid to ICAI shall not be allowed u/s 80C because its a registration fees and examination fees, but if we paid to other teachers for coaching classes, then it shall be eligible u/s 80 C.

There is no doubt that ICAI cover under Education Institution but as we are not paying any tuition fee to ICAI therefore claiming of deduction u/s 80C does not arise.
