How about doing the practice manual? Your scores are great except in DT. This time most of the students failed in DT.

Summary Notes are not enough, they are only for last minute reading...buy a book with many illustrations on each concept so that concept is clear.

Hi Naina,
Looking at the scores you've got, I think its more to do with time management than anything else.
Nobody gets close to 180 without knowing a thing or two about the subjects.
Am guessing you'll be at home studying for the next 3 months, if working - QUIT now.
Cost: You need more practice. Do a couple of hours of costing everyday. Concentrate on concepts when you do the numericals. Speed comes to those who know their subject well.
ISCA: Read through the ICAI module thoroughly, then constantly revise the chapters using a teacher's guide book, try Vikram Kapoor, helped me a lot. More you do the chapters more you'll remember. Its just a matter of being able to reproduce as many points as possible. Find your own way of memorizing the matter. Dont ape anybody else's way.
DT/IDT as a whole is a problem because once you concentrate on 1 subject the other suffers - look at your marks, see for yourself. Same happens to us all.
So, DT/IDT: Matter is massive. Start early, a few hours everyday. Understand and conceptualise your understanding rather than memorize it all. Memorization isnt possible as it is not possible for Tax lawyers who are 30/40 years in the business, right? :)
DT: Concentrate on 1. Short conceptual questions from PManual/preferably Vinod Gupta's note book, 2. Case laws, 3.Amendments & Circulars ,4. Special attention to the process of Computation to Assessment procedure to Appeals etc
IDT : Concentrate on 1. Numericals, 2. Case Laws, 3. Amendments & Circulars; 4. Special attention to Service Tax.
Remember for IDT:
25 marks Numericals (15 STax, 5 Exc, 5 Customs) : Dont need to study whole study mat for this
15 marks Case laws (7 STax, 4 Exc, 4 Customs) : Study frm this yr/prev yr case laws by ICAI
Rest 4 fifteen mark questions, total 60 marks, will be divided as 28 marks Service tax, 16 marks each from excise and customs. From this atleast 15 marks will be amendment question which will be divided as 7 ST, 4 EX, 4 Cust - All from Amendment/Circulars from ICAI, not module. Leaves 45 marks divided as 21 Stax, 12 Exc, 12 Cust. Study STAX thoroughly for the 21 marks, 12 marks each of Excise and Customs can be well attempted from a read through of the Prcatice manual. Why read 700 to a 1000 pages in detail for 24 marks. You can get half of it via PM. Oh, and Trade Policy will atleast account for 4 marks min!
Best of luck!

Read study module. Averaging around 70 pages each chapter with 28 chapters, the same can be completed in 28 days max. take notes of whatever you encounter to revise before exams (as you can't re-read module). I would've provided you with study mat notes of mine but I am out of town for a bit longer period.
Your IDT and ISCA are strong subjects, so don't require much time. For cost, people tend to overdo questions of same concept and eventually forget it (happens with me at least). So, pick a few questions, all of different concepts, then do it. Get your mind uncluttered. Simplicity is the best.

Thanks to all for your guidance. Can you suggest me few things...which book is to refer for idtl as I find Bangar very lengthy or some notes if you guys suggest me so that have a good knowledge about excise and customs,as for s.tax I refer Bangar only. But my concepts of excise and custom is not so clear.
Secondly for dt where to do chapters like capital gain,TDS/ Tcs ,search and seizure, penalties ,deductions ,as I find these chapters a bit difficult .So could you please suggest me any book or notes specifically for these chapters
