I registered a flat in OCT 2009 . Can I claim the registration charges of flat for the amount I paid for house registration ? If yes, what kind of exemption allowed and is there any limit on that?

YES U CAN CLAIM REGISTRATION CHARGES OF FLAT UNDER 80C PROVIDED FLAT IS IN YOUR NAME OR U R CO-OWNER OF FLAT. MAXIMUM AMOUNT UNDER 80 DEDUCTION IS LIMITED TO RS.100000. THIS LIMIT IS AGGREGATE AND NOT SPECIFICALLY TO REGISTRATION CHAREGS.

Actual amount towards registration of your plot, you can claim, any tax towards mcd like house tax and Standard Deduction and if taken home loan for the same then u can claim upto Rs. 150000/- maximum
