Excise Duty Registration

Hey Frnds Can any 1 help me..

Is there any turnover limit for excise duty registration?

if yes than whether export sales will also form part of the turnover?

if possible reply with the reference..

As per Rule 9 of Central Excise Rules 2002, "Every person, who produces, manufactures, carries on trade, holds private store-room or warehouse or otherwise uses excisable goods, shall get registered." Turnover criteria is for availing exemption from payment of duty. Offcource. export sales is also form part of the turnover.

Export is excluded from clearance for home consumption ( ssi exemption no 8/2003)

Mr. Sharma - thanks, clearance to foreign contriles are excluded except Bhutan & Nepal.

Export means , sending goods out of india, for which payment is to be realized in convertible foreign exchange, even export to nepal and bhutan is export , if payment is received in convertible foreign exchange
