I downloaded the latest RPU version 3.3 from tin-nsdl site.
entered 392 records manually . validated file challan vise as each challan has good No. of records . After completing the last challan I tried to validate to file.
I could not . I got an error message ie. MSG : 13 : Type mismatch > OK > Error in writing challan details.
At this stage i.e. today evening around 5.30 and 6 p.m I contacted tin-nsdl call centre. (gave ttime whoever want to verify with the recorded message)
They said they can only provide the details of PAN and TAN status.When I repeatedly insisted that the RPU is provided by nsdl.
They told me to disconnect the call and try again and choose the 2nd option .
!!!! 2nd option.... Only 1 option whne I rang 020-27218080 it is asking whether to choose english OR Hindi. after that it is not asking to choose any other option. 
Thus I think tin-nsdl.com is mis leading and disowning responsibility.
Then immediately I contacted tdscpc.gov.in they simply said they can't help and contact only nsdl .
Now have I to enter all these records again .......????...!!!!
With this experience I suggest the TDS filers to opt some software other than tin-nsdl RPU.
So that whenever any problem arises they can help you .
