One needs to file revised return within 90 days from the date of filing of original return. It is immetarial whether you file return within due date or after due date. The period for filing revised return reckoned from the date of filing of original return.
No need to give vitamin M as its our statutory right given under law provided revised return filed within due date.

For calculating of 90 days which date will be consider.
1) From the date of filing the original return
or
2) From the due date of the filing the return
for eg.
for the period form 01.04.2011 to 30/09/2011 due date extended up to 20.01.2012. But we have filed our Service Tax return on 20.12.2011 but now we are going to file revised service Tax return due to certain changes in return.
Which date for calculation of 90 days.
Please advise....
