The best thing is "

As it increased surplus thus we are going under expensed. Good News !!

Fiscal deficit down from 4.5 per cent in 2003-04 to 2.7 per cent in 2007-08 and

Revenue deficit from 3.6 per cent to 1.1 per cent in 2007-08."

I would term the budget as populist and aimed to woo voters ahead of general elections due by May,

It had nothing in store for corporate India.

i think it is a rational interim budget in the cloud of resseion. we are not expected much higher in this period. but i am worried about the politicians that there are no second issue after criticization of the Govt. i read 20-25 comment todays on the different newspaper for industrlist and economicst (not the political party persons ) which are not criticise this interim budget. all are in the same ways to describe this is a infrastruture related bugdet which is now india wants because in the meltdown period.
