No alteration is required to be done in case of shifting of Regd. office of a company within the same city in a state.

There will be no alteration required in MOA assuming registered office is being shifted within same city.
But there are few states (Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu) where there are 2 ROCs between whom districts/cities have been divided in terms of jurisdiction. Accordingly, if you are shifting the RO within same state but from jurisdiction of one ROC to jurisdiction of another ROC then there is detailed procedure. However, there is no alteration of MOA.
