Nothing to discuss...as there is nothing wrong Everyone feels great to speak people of same community, so let them carry on. Even we professionals like CA CS CWA feel to speak of our profession rather than a DR engineer etc...So no one should have problem on it. Have they commented or passed any remarks on other community or caste so why should we enter into any discussion and arguments....Let them enjoy if they feel good seeing people of their community all are part of CCI.

Dear Randhir, I get to know about this community today by your post. I have joined it. I will leave it if i don't find it useful or imappropriate
You create another useful community and i will join too.
I don't support caste system in India but resist. If we educated people will bother about such issue then only God can save India.
In real life, most of my friends are non brahmin. So what?
Categorization is nothing but "devide and rule politics"
It is better only if it helps poor people in real terms irrespective of their caste.
Randhir, you can say that these comments were 'sliced with venom' only when these members had passed certain spiteful remarks about the lower caste people. But, this is not the case here.
In the first forum, they were introducing themselves as Brahmin professionals and in second forum, they seemed to be worried about low number of Chartered Accountants from their community and seemed to be proud of their ancestry.
But, in no way you can accuse that this amounts to 'atrocity' of brahmin's against the people belonging to lower castes. It is normal for them to be proud of their community considering the contribution the people from their community has made towards the mankind.
Please do not consider that I am against the lower caste people. In this kali yuga, even Brahmins tend to act in an abominable manner. If such becomes their behaviour, they should stop wearing the sacred thread (janoi) and should leave false pride of being a Brahmin.

I din't see any venom their! please review things properly before posting them. if you consider this venom then the reservation system for SC/ST and other minority classes should be considered a well of venom. No body cares about the sentiments of general class for that matter! I'll give u an example during my entrance test for college admissions i scored 245 and my friend belonging to SC /ST class scored just 90 she was given admission and i was not because i belong to general class, i dint hate her i accepted it as fate though i strongly believe everything should be based on one's capabilities, intelligence, education and hard work not caste, community or class!!

Government introduced Reservation system for SC/ST to heal the scar left by the brahmins on Lower caste people.
Today in all most all the field, the brahmins are doing well not because thery are born intelligent!
But because they born to wealthy (Almost95%) brahmin family! They could study whatever course they want and they get job easily!
Even in some Brahmin CA firms, Proprietor/partner give prefrence to brahmin students!
on the other hand non brahmins though they are well qualified, still they find it difficult to get opportunity!

@ Randhir .....But that does not mean you creat a new scar to heal the old one! and are you favouring inequality??? dont you think everyone should get an equal opportunity depending on their hardwork, even Dr. Ambedkar who introduced reservation wanted it to last only for 10 years, not till eternity. And as i have already said u might have not read i gave an example and have already said i strongly believe everything should be based on one's capabilities, intelligence, education and hard work not caste, community or class!!

i dont agree with you today there are lot of brahmins too living below poverty line .. and they too find it hard getting a job.... time is rough for everyone !
THE BRAHMIN AND THE COBBLER
Narada Muni was once asked by a brahmana, "Oh, are you going to meet the Lord? Will you please ask Him when I'm going to get my salvation?" "All right," Narada agreed. "I shall ask Him."
As Narada proceeded, he met a cobbler who was sitting under a tree mending shoes, and the cobbler similarly asked Narada, "Oh, are you going to see God? Will you please inquire of Him when my salvation will come?"
When Narada went to the Vaikuntha planets, he fulfilled their request and asked Narayana about the salvation of the brahmana and the cobbler. Narayana replied, "After leaving this body, the cobbler shall come here to Me." "What about the brahmana?" Narada asked. "He will have to remain there for a number of births. I do not know when he is coming." Narada Muni was astonished, and he finally said, "I cannot understand the mystery of this." "That you will see," Narayana said. "When they ask you what I am doing in My abode, tell them that I am threading the eye of a needle with an elephant."
When Narada Muni returned to earth and approached the brahmana, the brahmana said, "Oh, you have seen the Lord? What was he doing?" "He was threading an elephant through the eye of a needle," Narada answered. "I don't believe such nonsense," the brahmana replied. Narada could immediately understand that the man had no faith and that he was simply a reader of books.
Narada then left and went on to the cobbler, who asked him, "Oh, you have seen the Lord? Tell me, what was he doing?" "He was threading an elephant through the eye of a needle," Narada replied. The cobbler began to weep. "Oh, my Lord is so wonderful, He can do anything." "Do you really believe that the Lord can push an elephant through the eye of a needle?" Narada asked. "Why not?" the cobbler said. "Of course I believe it." "How is that?" Narada asked. "You can see that I am sitting under this banyan tree." the cobbler answered, "and you can see that so many fruits are falling daily, and in each seed there is a banyan tree like this one. If within a small seed there can be a big tree like this, is it not difficult to accept that the Lord is pushing an elephant through the eye of a needle”
MORAL OF THIS PARABLE :
param gato 'pi vedanam sarva-sastrartha-vedy api \ yo na sarvesvare bhaktas tam vidyat purusadhamam. (Garuda Purana)
Meaning : "Even though one may have gone to the other side of all the Vedas, and even though one is well versed in all the revealed scripttures, if one is not a devotee of the Supreme Lord, he must be considered the lowest of mankind."
aho bata shavpachoto gareeyãn yaj-jiha-vãgre vartate nãma tubhyam
tepus-tapas-te juhuvuhu sasnur-ãryã bhramã-nuchur-nãma grunanti ye te (Shrimad Bhagwatam)
How amazing! Even a ‘shvapach’ (a vile person belonging to low caste, who eats dog-meat) becomes great if your name is on the tip of his tongue (he chants Krishna’s name). Those who chant your name are the ones who have performed all tap, performed all yagnas, bathed in the sacred waters of all the places of pilgrimage, and studied all the Vedas; they indeed are the ãryãs (the noble ones).
In the third skandh of the Shreemad Bhãgvat, within the Kapil Geetã, Devhuti says to Lord Kapil :
yan-nãmadheya-shravanãnu-keertanãd-yat-prahvanãd-yat-smaranã-dapi kvachit
shvãdopi sadyaha savanãya kalpate katham punas-te bhagavan-nu darshanãt
Meaning : If even a ‘shvapach’ (a vile person belonging to low caste, who eats dog-meat) becomes immediately suitable for performing yagnas (perfectly purified) by merely hearing and repeating the name of Lord Krishna, by bowing to Lord Krishna, and by remembering Lord Krishna, then what can be said of His darshan?

Dear Randhir,
Like all, even I did not find any comments in the Community Forum as 'atrocious' against the lower caste people. Even I belong to the lower caste. I live in a city. I have never found any upper caste Hindu brother looking down upon me with hatred. It may happen in villages.
In fact, I have observed that people of lower caste have tremendous amount of hatred towards upper caste Hindus and even Hindu religion itself. They burn Hindu scripttures, they curse upper caste Hindus, they use arm twisting techniques against government bodies to pass laws favourable to them, they grab government land under the pretext of liberation of 'dalits'. Because of this, the politicians use the divide and rule policy.
We need to understand that all are not equal. You will find that majority people belonging to lower caste indulge in vices such as gambling, stealing, adultery, arsonry, drinking alcohol etc. the list is very long. Because of this reason, the lower caste people have always remained poor and backward. Just to feel good about themselves, they make themselves believe that they have remained backward due to 'atrocities' from upper caste Hindus.
It is not that lower caste people have been looked down upon in Hinduism. Let me ask you, which caste gopis belonged to ? Which caste Shabri belonged to ? Which caste Vidurji belonged to ? They all belonged to low caste, but attained greatness due to stellar qualities. Thus, Hinduism divides people on qualities and deeds. If this were not so, Ravana or Kansa would have been loved for their castes, despite of their evil deeds... Thus, we lower caste people should think noble and do noble in order to be respected by society. How can we expect people to respect us if we do not change our vicious qualities and deeds.
You may argue that even upper caste people indulge in evil deeds. Yes, I agree but it should be known as the defect of the age of kali. There is a Sanskrit proverb which says that "Kalau shudra sambhava". Which means, in kaliyuga, all are shudras. In scripttures, it is mentioned that in this age of kali, Brahmins will be known as Brahmins just because they wear sacred thread, but not because of their qualities. Thus, even Hindu scripttures hold that upper castes should be respected due to their stellar qualities and not just due to their birth. And mind you, Hindu sciptures do not support atrocities against lower caste people. By claiming this, the lower caste people have brought disgrace upon Hinduism.

A. Kumar
