icwai module is enough. mostly question comes from module only.
for theory papers study material provided by the institute is sufficient and for practical papers there is no single book which covers all the topics of a particular subjects. Almost all the practical papers for final are financial management and accounting standard based, so you can refer any good financial management book like Ravi M kishore or Khan & jain and any accounting standard book.

the syllabus is heavily drawn from CIMA except tax, company law. if u could find CIMA study material in PDF it would be good option because their study material is expensive.
besides that SULTAN CHAND & SONS PUBLISHES BOOKS specifically for CWA but rarely updated.
so the net result is study material & suggested answer. however if one has to explore recommended books then one can go for
direct taxation- singhania; ahuja-gupta
indirect taxation- Dr.sanjeev kumar; datey
Accts - radhaswamy m , saxena-vashist
cost - saxena-vashist ; ravi m kishore , m n arora
finance - i m pandey , ravi kishore
capital market analysis-v a avadhani
standards - dolphy d'souza

my suggestion would be:
Direct taxes - T.N.Manoharan
Indirect Taxes - Vaitheeswaran - these two are more than sufficient and are easy to understand, clear and crisp
Accounting standards - D.S.Rawat ( undoubtedly the best in the lot; short, simple and easy to understand and covers extensively)
Costing - Saxena - vashist is good; to have simple approaches, go in for Saravana prasath written for CA final but it covers CWA too
Accts - MP vijaykumar would serve u better than any other book.
Finance - Go for Pattabiram and S.D.Bala if u want conceptual clarity. for problems you can go in for A.N.Sridar - both of them get updated each year than others in the lot

one should take a serious note & critically examine the question pattern & style even though the syllabus is similar of CA/ICWA.
not suprise to notice that question pattern & style varies widely.
therefore one should refer books which incorporates ICWA past questions so that the author have paid enough attention to the needs of icwa students designed their content accordingly.
books mentioned by me either incorporates icwa question or their authors have specifically written books for ICWA students

Financial Accounting
radhaswamy m , r l gupta( regularly updates, one can find specifically written for icwa inter besides standard advanced accountancy)
Commercial and Industrial Laws & Auditing
look for G K kapoor for law ( sultan chand & sons) under old syllabus it was there for icwa inter but study material is enough
auditing study material is enough but if required sultan chand & sons might have it
Applied Direct Taxes
Systematic Approach to Tax Laws
by Dr. Girish Ahuja & Dr. Ravi Gupta(CS/ICWA-INTER ONLY)

but if one is desperate to have a book, sultan chand & sons might have on individual subjects

V.S.Datey is too complex for a beginner in IDT... study K.Vaitheeswaran...for specific CWA exam qns., refer sugg.ans or scanner (if available)..... get ur concepts clear...KV book is specifically meant for exam answers.... it covers the entire syllabus in a simple format just like D.S.Rawat's AS and AAS books

Sir,
you all are recommending modules for operational management but there is no proper explanation in every part and many of the solutions are wrong.
So can u please give us any suggested books for operational management.
