In Present any student can register for CPT after 10th Standard (optional) or after completing 12th. Both are fine, but if you register after 10th the books you get might become outdated for your exams, that is the only issue, otherwise there is no difference between two.

Better to register at present if completed 10 th because old syllabus will apply and can easily get through , as exam in options form , compared to paper pen form in new syllabus
