Sorry Rajiv, if you are talking about CPA from USA then they require 120-150 credit in accounting which B.Tech students don't qualify for. Hence they are basicaly not eligible for the exam. Regards, Ashish |

Hi naraine... All the routes that u take from here will be lenghty...
1) if your college allows it, then take up accounting courses while pursuing ur btech.
2) enroll in an online degree program from US university like University of phoenix and Devry are the most popular and are recognised.. But i dont know whether they are good.. but will get u the credit
3) if u r in US, enroll in a community college
4) do bcom and mcom from india (regular and not correspondence)
Even corrospondance will help!! You have already done B.tech, so it is enough if you do M.com (accounting Major)...And for more information Please contact Leslie ann rogers of CPA excel through E mail....
and also please visit CPAnet.com for regular updates!

Generally, most Indian B.Com graduates are eligible to take the CPA exam.
Every year of university education in India is equivalent to 30-semester credits of US Education, totaling 90 credits at the end of 3 years.
If B.Com is completed in 1st division from a NAAC 'A' university, the 3-year B.Com would be treated as 4 years of US education, i.e., 120 credits for B.Com alone. Having a 2-year Master's degree (e.g., M.Com, MBA) contributes to 60 education credits. Further, professional qualifications like CA/CS/CWA are recognized by a few States as 2 years of US education.
In case yours is a NAAC 'A' college, you'd be able to appear for the exams. Even if that's not the case, you can pursue bridge courses to get the credits. For additional information, you can write to me or visit www.mileseducation.com

With your executive MBA and MBA in power management, you will have enough credits. Considering your MBA is a 2-year program, with 2 MBS programs, you'll have 120 credits (30 credits per year of study) and are eligible to take up the exams. You will need 150 credits in total in order to receive the CPA license post completing your CPA exams in order to get the license. WIth your BTech and MTech programs, we will have to evaluate in detail in order to understand if you will receive any credits based on your subjects. Please reach out to the Miles team so we can quickly scan through and provide you with an update.
