what is meant by corpus contributions?

corpus contribtion is used in trust accounting

it is just like capital in company

Corpus donations(contributions) are those that are given to a trust with a specific direction that they shall form part of corpus (capital) of the trust. They are not included in the income of trust since it is treated as a capital receipt.

Corpus contribution is that type of donation in trust which is invested in somewhere like  f.d. & from that interest  trust fulfill their objects. Corpus contribution is for long term purppose not used in short term purppose.Corpus contribution is added in corous fund not credited to p&l. In B/S on asset side there must be certain asset agst. corpus fund on liability side.
