i passed my 2nd group, i suggest TN Manoharan's book for direct taxes b coz it cover all Practical apprach, examination apprach for student ,
so T N MANOHARAN sir ki book is good .

If you go for Singhania you will just keep on readng & reading & reading & reading. I would suggets Manoharan as it has provided relevant things, digestable & you wont be confused at all for sure. Of course Vinod Gupta is also a good option.
