it has to be understood that a person who has completed CS or CA must have huge potential ... i'm not talking bout the people who jus study and mug up everything and clear CA or CS .. i'm talking bout people who have finished CS or CA with an attitude to learn and acquire knowledge ... i wanna be in finance ,,, all fields in finance .. like portfolio management .. insurance .. retirement planning etc etc ... i will acquire the respective knowledge on the job cos i'm eager to learn ,,, but having a reputed qualification like CS .. Companies should recognize the potential in the candidates and take them in those fields ... u don see that happening for CS .. but it happens for CA .. a Chartered Accountant can work in an insurance company .. Bank ,,, retirement benefits ,,,credit rating agencies ,,auditing ,,, taxations ,, corporate finance ,,, stock broking firms ,,, internal audit etc etc .. its not that they learnt or acquired the specific knowledge from the course .. they get such opportunities cos .. the companies which recruits them believe that chartered Accountants can handle the job .. learn quickly .. take up responsibilities etc etc .. thats y CA are of great demand ,,, company secretaries are also capable of doing such work ,,, but we are not recognized .. what i am trying to discuss in bout the recognition of the course ...
i mean no offence to the chartered Accountant course .. i have great regard to the CA course ....i'm a CA inter myself ... since i kno the syllabus of both the courses .. i feel that .. wat a CA can do .. even a CS can do ... why are company secretaries not getting the recognition they need ... !!!
