Definately he can claim the portion of Tuition Fees paid by him for his children u/s 80C. Allowances and deduction under chapter VI-A are the two different aspects. Allowances are fixed in nature and children education allowance is exempt upto Rs. 100/- per month per child (maximum of two children). Deduction u/s 80C is limited to Rs. 150000/-. Thus, he can claim Rs. 15000/- u/s 80C but check twice that the Rs. 15000/- is the amt of tuition fees only.

Sir actually I received quarterly school fees receipt from my collogue.
tuition fees is separately mention on this receipt. & the total of tuition fees paid in F.Y. is 15000.
